Michele Hybner, Foundry Home Interior Design, Inc and Foundry Home Construction, LLC – Owner / Team Leader Spotlight
Michele Hybner is an Owner / Principal Designer and Team Leader at Foundry Home Interior Design and an Owner of Foundry Home Construction, LLC. Michele holds a Master of Science in Architecture with a Specialization in Interior Design from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She also has undergraduate degrees in both Art History and Interior Design. Her ASID award winning design work and expert advice have been featured in the Omaha World Herald, Omaha Magazine, Edge Magazine, Omaha Home Magazine and Better Homes and Gardens Kitchen and Bath Ideas. Michele Hybner designs luxury new construction and remodeling projects and creates interior-built environments which tell the visual story of the people who live and work within them.
Michele’s lifelong love of art fostered her passion for interior design. Her graduate and undergraduate studies gave root to her knowledge, understanding and expertise in art, architecture and design. “The pages of history books are filled with information about the lives of people…how our contemporary civilization is recounted and documented is a responsibility each of us shares in…personally and collectively. Spending time learning about my clients’ individual interests, heritage, travels, their families and vocations enables me to really personalize their spaces. Utilizing their points of inspiration (i.e. an heirloom rug, family photographs, a travel curiosity, a collection of modern art or an antique piece of furniture) is where I like to begin the ideation phase for a design project. Every client has something that moves them – it is important to figure out what that might be and incorporate it into their design.”
Remaining active in the community with civic and charity events is important to Michele. She has served as an Iowa Arts Council grant review panelist and a panelist for the Iowa Arts Council’s round table discussions on arts-in-education (facilitated by the National Assembly of State Art Agencies). Michele has participated in the Designer ReStore Challenges and the ASID Designer Show house (proceeds from both benefit local charitable causes). Her time outside of work is spent with her family and friends, visiting art museums, attending concerts, reading, and traveling in the U.S. and abroad.
Michele Hybner’s passion, talent, education and experience are an asset to clients looking to build, remodel or furnish their homes with Foundry Home Interior Design and Construction.
